GRC is the abbreviation of GFRC, the full name is Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete. It is a kind of fiber concrete composite with alkali-resistant glass fiber as reinforcement and cement mortar as matrix material. GRC is a material that expresses the designer's imagination through mold modeling, texture, tactile and color.
Here are five common materials:
Cement: usually used in GFRC, mainly including Fast hard sulphoaluminate cement, Low basicity sulfate cement, ordinary Silicate Cement and white Silicate Cement.
Fiber: The fiber used in GFRC must be alkali-resistant glass fiber, including alkali-resistant glass fiber twistless coarse yarn, alkali-resistant glass fiber spun yarn, and alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh. Western require that the zirconia content in glass fiber used in GFRC shall not be less than 16.5%, while China requires that the zirconia content of ordinary Silicate Cement shall not be less than 16.5%.
Polymer: The polymer usually added is acrylate copolymerization lotion.
Admixture: High range water reducing admixture, plasticizer, set retarder, early strength agent, anti-freezing agent, rust inhibitor and so on can usually be selectively added: when the products contain steel reinforcement materials or steel embedment parts, calcium chloride shall not be used as an admixture.
Other materials: some pozzolanic active materials can be selectively added to improve the comprehensive performance of GFRC products, such as strength, impermeability, durability, etc.
